Project Overview
At KNN’s live stage in South Korea, SoundFox showcased the capabilities of the MJ Gen 3 robotic camera crane combined with advanced media server integration. The demo was designed to highlight how automated camera movement and real-time visuals can elevate broadcast production.
Challenge
Live stages often rely on static cameras and limited visual backdrops, making productions feel flat. Broadcasters need immersive visuals and flexible camera work - especially for events like elections or educational programming - to keep audiences engaged.
Our Solution
We integrated the MJ Gen 3 robotic crane onto KNN’s studio stage, programming smooth, automated movements around actors and set pieces. Using the Qimera media server, we extended the stage environment with 3D graphics - including clouds projected across the ceiling for added depth and atmosphere.
The system also showcased practical broadcast applications: real-time 3D medical visuals for educational segments and election data graphics, such as an interactive map of South Korea with districts highlighted by voting results.
Results
The demonstration gave major South Korean broadcasters a clear view of how robotic automation and immersive graphics can transform live productions. From elections to medical programming, the system proved its potential to deliver dynamic, data-driven storytelling in a visually engaging way.
